External Trigger (E)
Another option within the Scheduled WOs is the “External Trigger”. In this area you will be able to create WO templates for Work Orders that will be triggered by external Interfaces (e.g. Fluke Tools, SCHAD, Teletrac Navman, etc). To help you understand this feature, we will first walk you through the Integration with Fluke Connect.
X5 Integration with Fluke Connect
The Fluke Connect app helps you conduct routine maintenance tasks easier. The app allows you to Log, track, and share equipment records without leaving the floor or field. With Fluke Connect enabled tools, you can do all of these things using your phone anytime, from anywhere.
Currently (November of 2017), X5 is integrated with the following Fluke Connect condition Monitoring devices: 3501 FC (Gateway), 3510 FC (Voltage Sensor), 3520 FC (Current Sensor), 3530 FC (Temperature sensor) and 3540 FC (3 Phase Power Monitor).
With a Fluke Connect account, you will be able to start Condition Monitoring Sessions for specific assets and display live readings at the Asset level in X5. The image below explains the flow of the integration. As you can see, we started a Condition Monitoring session for a Mini Fridge. The three sensors (Voltage, Current and Temperature) send the data to the gateway, which sends data to Fluke Connect on the cloud. This data is then sent to eMaint X5, where you will be able to see the readings for each sensor live at the asset level.

To see these readings in X5 you will need to navigate to the Asset that has a running condition monitoring session. At the Asset record, there’s a related entity called “Readings” where you will be able to see live readings from the sensors.

On the Readings Screen, you will be able to click each sensor to see their live readings.

Connecting a Fluke Connect account with X5
For this integration to work, the account administrator will need to navigate to “Accounts settings” in X5, click on “Integrations” and provide the Fluke connect Credentials.

Creating Work Order Templates for External Triggers
When setting up a Condition Monitoring session in Fluke connect, you can set boundaries/alarms for each monitoring sensor. X5 will generate WOs every time an exception happens (e.g. Temperature threshold exceeds). To setup a Work Order Template, start by navigating to the Scheduled WOs tab, click the “New” button and then select the “External Trigger” option.

Once on the Schedule WO screen, select an Asset.
