Scheduled Work Orders in X5 (Overview)

The Scheduled Work Orders in X5 is a very powerful tool as it’s a lot more than just a place to create calendar and meter based PM Schedules. In addition to PMs (for one or multiple assets) this module also allows you to setup Round Inspections and to create WO templates for WOs that will be triggered, as a reaction to boundaries and entries, from external interfaces that are integrated with X5 (e.g. Condition Monitoring alarms, Meters, etc).

    Understanding Scheduled WOs in X5

There are three types of Scheduled WOs in X5:

    • Preventive Maintenance - Calendar based and/or meter based PMs for Single or Multiple Assets. When creating a PM for multiple assets, the system will create one WO per Asset upon generation. When selecting a Parent Asset, the system will include all children assets to the WO upon generation.
    • Inspection Round -  Calendar based Round Inspections for Single or Multiple Assets. When selecting a Parent Asset the system will include all children assets to the WO upon generation. When creating a Round Inspection for multiple assets you will also have the ability to add a status for each asset (pending, success or fail). Once this inspection is generated into a WO, users will be able to go over each asset on the list and mark them as “Success” or “Fail”.
    • External Trigger - In this area, you can create WO templates for Work Orders that will be triggered by external Interfaces (e.g. Fluke Tools, Connect2, Teletrac Navman, etc).

After clicking the “New” button to create a new Schedule WO, you will be able to select one of the 3 options.
