Work Order Request (Standard User Account)

1 - Creating a New WO Request (As a Standard User)

As a standard user, you can also create a Request. However, in most cases, as a full user, you would skip the request process and would just create a Work Order.

For the purpose of applying what you learned in this session, let’s create a WO request from your full account. To do so, follow the steps below:

    • A - Navigate to the WO Requests list and click the plus button at the top.

    • B - Fill in the information (Brief Description, Asset, Upload Image if needed, etc) and then click on “Save” when done. It is recommended to use the Work Description field (under Brief Description) to best describe the work that you are requesting.

Note - The requester form can be configured according to your company needs.

    2 - Approving WO Requests

Once a request has been entered in the system, it will be available in the request list waiting to be approved or rejected. Approved requests generate Work Orders.

From the request list, click the stacked lines next to an Open Request, then click on Approve Request.

Note - After a request is Approved, the audit trail section within that request will be populated with the approval date, time, approver and the resulting work order number.

After approving the request, the resulting work order is opened up. Now you can assign it to a resource, fill out any additional information that may be needed, then save your changes.

When rejecting a request you will be able to provide a reason. Once the rejection is confirmed, the requester will receive an email with that reason.

Note - After a request is Rejected, the audit trail section within the request, will be populated with the Rejection date, time, Rejecter and the reason for rejection.
