1. Account Settings
X5 allows users to customize their barcode labels. Users can control which entities can produce barcode labels and which field will be used for the barcode value. This document will cover setting up barcode labels for a new entity.
To get started open account settings and navigate to the Entities tab. See below for reference.


Next, select the table for which you wish to configure barcode labels. In this example we’ll use the Parts entity.
Within the selected entity, tap on the “Advanced Settings” tab. From the Behaviors drop down at the top of the page select “Barcode”. This will drop the barcode behavior below which requires a selection of a field. This will be the field that holds the value to be displayed on the barcode label.
Finally, select “Save” at the bottom of the page to finalize the change.
