Scheduled WOs (Inspection Round)

    Inspection Round (I)

Another option within the Scheduled WOs is the “Inspection Round”, which is a Calendar based Round Inspection for Single or Multiple Assets.

This type of Scheduled WO doesn’t look at dates when previous WOs were opened or closed. This feature was mainly designed to allow you to setup Schedule WOs for Parent Assets (and their children). Users can define specific dates and times the Inspection should happen, regardless of the status of the previous Inspection WO. Say you have an Asset called “Building A” and you have 20 Extinguishers (also assets) in that building, by creating an Inspection Round for the building, all extinguishers will be on the WO and your users will be able to perform that inspection very quickly.

On the Inspection Round WO, users will be able to go over each asset on the list and mark them as “Success” or “Fail”. Users will also have a quick shortcut to create a follow-up WO for any of the Assets in the WO.

Creating Inspection Rounds for Parent assets (All Children Included)

In this example, we will be creating an Inspection Round for a Parent asset. After clicking the “New” button and selecting the “Inspection Round” option, follow the steps below to do so:

    • A - Select an Asset (or type to search).
    • B - Click on “Add Schedule” if you want to set up the frequency more than once.
    • C - Setup a “Calendar frequency” for all schedules added (e.g. Every month on the 15th and Every month on the 28th).

Note - As you noticed in this example when creating Inspection Rounds, you will be able to set up multiple schedules on the same PM, as well as select specific days and times for your Inspections to generate.

    • D - Click on Details.
    • E - Write a Description for this PM.

    • F - Click on “Work Order Template”.
    • G - Select “Multiple Assets Work Order”. Is you leave this section as Single Asset Work Order, the system will generate a PM for the Parent, but it won’t include the children.
    • H - Write a Brief description and any other required information.
    • I - Click “Save” when you are done.

    Inspection Round Generation (Parent Asset)

When creating an Inspection Round for a Parent Asset, the system will generate one WO and will add all the children Assets to a WO Related Entity called “Work Order Assets”.

When clicking on it, you will see all the children assets on the list and will be able to Pass or Fail each asset. On the left side of each Asset you will have a wrench icon, which is a shortcut for creating a follow up WO.
