Dashboards & Graphs

    1 - Dashboards & Graphs

The dashboard is a way of keeping reports and widgets all in one place, where they can be viewed and organized. The dashboard can be separated into different tabs, where reports and widgets can be placed.

To access the dashboard, click the “Dashboards” tab at the very top of your left side menu. When clicking this tab, all existing dashboards will be displayed in this area, then you will be able to click on any of them to view their reports and Manage their content.

In the X5 Dashboard, you will have the following options:

    • A - View your Dashboard list and select which Dashboard to display.
    • B - Click the Pencil to edit the current dashboard or click the plus button to create a new one.
    • C - Users who have access to more than 1 site, will be able to switch sites to see, on the dashboard, data from their different locations.

1.1 - Creating New Dashboard Tabs

To help you understand this module, we will create a Dashboard tab called “Open Work”, then we will show you how you can add widgets to it. To add a Dashboard tab, click the “Plus” button at the top.

    Then, follow the steps below:

    • 1 - Write “Open Work” as the Title.

    • 2 - Set to Global, so all users within your account have access to it.

    • 3 - Click the “Save” button.

Note - As you may have noticed, in X5 you can limit Dashboards to specific User Roles.

Once the Dashboard is created, you will be able to start adding widgets to it. The available widgets are: Box, Table, Cards, Map and Chart.

1.2 - Adding Widget (Table Report)

To add widgets to your dashboard, start by clicking the Edit button.

In this first example, we will add the “Open WOs by Assign to” report to the Dashboard. To do so, follow the steps below:

    • 1 - Click on “Add Widget”.
    • 2 - Write “Open WOs by Assign to” into the Label field.
    • 3 - Select “Report” as the option.
    • 4 - Search and select your report.
    • 5 - Select “Table” into the Output.
    • 6 and 7 - Click on “Allow Filter”, so you can filter your report from the dashboard, then Save.

You will now be able to see the report on your dashboard.

1.3 - Adding Widget (Chart Report)

In this example, we will add the “Count of Open WOs by Type” as a graph on your Dashboard. To do so, follow the steps below:

    • 1 - Click on “Add Widget”.
    • 2 - Write “Count of Open WOs by Type” into the Label field.
    • 3 - Select “Report” as the option.
    • 4 - Search and select your report.
    • 5 - Select “Chart” into the Output.
    • 6 - Select a Chart Type (e.g. Pie).
    • 7 - Select “Work Order Type” in to the Labels field.
    • 8 - Select “WO Count” into the Values field.
    • 9 - Save.
    •

You will now be able to see the report on your dashboard.
