Scheduling Condition Monitoring Readings (PM Setup)

This feature is not available for customers at the "Team" account level. For more information on eMaint CMMS plans (account levels), you can contact your Customer Success Manager or email services@emaint.com. This information is also available at http://www.emaint.com/cmms-pricing/#plans-pricing.

For each monitor class associated with each asset, users may create a condition monitoring reading schedule to generate a work order representing reading collection. This work order will be automatically completed upon adding readings for that asset’s matching monitor class. To set up a schedule for condition monitoring readings to be taken, complete these steps:

    • Go to the asset you want to schedule readings for and add a new PM schedule.

    • Input a value of “CM” for the “Work Order Type”. This field may need to be added to the PM form (Field name PM_TYPE).

    • Fill in all other information on the PM as normal.

Once the work order is generated from the PM, you can navigate to the “Condition Monitoring” screen and add a reading for the PM by going into “Add Reading” and selecting the “Monitoring Class” and “Scheduled Readings Date Range” that the work order generated within.

After selecting the monitoring class and answering the questions, you will notice on the readings screen that the work order number associated with the reading will appear. After entering in your readings and saving the data, the work order will automatically close out. This process also works on work orders created by condition monitoring reading exceptions.

If you have more than one condition monitoring class attached to an asset, you will want to specify within the PM which class triggers the work order to close out when a reading is completed.

    • On the PM form, add the Condition Monitor Class field onto your form (monitclass)

    • Type in the monitoring class related to this PM.

    • Save changes.
