PO Return/Cost Editing

    eMaint X4 Purchase Order Returns/Edit

eMaint X4 CMMS has the functionality of returning parts from purchase orders.  Some of these features include the following.

    • Receive Quantity is updated on the transaction line by subtracting the amount returned.
    • Ability to choose if a line item is reopened based on inventory quantity being returned.
    • Average Weighted Costs are updated properly when returning parts

To enable this feature, it must be turned on in account settings.

Once turned on, you will be able to return parts to a PO, or change the price the parts were received in at.

To access the return function, you can view the purchase order, and from the actions tab, you can choose to review PO Receipts.

When returning parts, you can decide if you would like to reopen the line item if there are still parts on backorder for the line item(s) being adjusted, or you can leave the line item as being fulfilled depending on the reason for the PO adjustment.

Edit Cost by entering the new unit price and then clicking on proceed.

Edit the return quantity (A), then decide if the line item for that PO needs to be reopened (B), and click on proceed (C) to finalize the PO return transaction.

As you make these adjustments, there are workflows working in the system that will make the necessary adjustments to other parts of the system. This will allow for making adjustments to a PO easier since you will only have to do it in one place, and eMaint will make the necessary updates in the system on other tables.
