In eMaint X4, you have the option to star records. Starring records is similar to adding them to your favorites, to make monitoring that particular item easier and allow you to access those items quickly. This feature is directly linked to the Wall, which can be accessed from the Side Bar. Clicking the sidebar icon will allow you to click into the Wall, and when you click on the activity that happened to the starred record the system tell you what starred item triggered the activity to appear on the wall.
Additionally, you can associate a color with each table so that color is reflected for the Starred records seen on the wall. As pictured below, hovering over Change Title Bar Color and selecting a color will associate the chosen color with that record type (e.g. - Green selected under work orders will make the work order icon green)
While on the list view, Starring an item can be done very simply in one mouse click:
In the list view, you will see a column with a gray outline of a star in every row.
Once you have determined the item you wish to mark as favorite, simply click on the star next to it. This will change the star from white to yellow.
The item is now starred and can be searched by clicking on the bigger star on the right side of the list view (when selected, the star will appear yellow, then you will only see starred records on the list).
To unstar a record, click the yellow star again and the star will appear as a gray outline again
