In addition to being able to pull information directly from asset fields, you can also create calculated expressions so the system can calculate/Input custom upper and lower bounds based on data stored on the asset form.

Figure 10-1 - A calculation here is used to ensure the value for this monitor point is within ±5% or ±5 PSI of the Test Gas value stored on the asset, whichever range is smaller. The ±5% range is smaller below 100 PSI but the ±5 PSI range is smaller above 100 PSI, so an if statement is used to return a variable amount for each asset.
Instead of using the number for the lower and upper bound fields, the system can use the Lower Value Formula and Upper Value Formula fields to calculate what the upper and lower bound numbers should be. This gives the Condition Monitoring module additional flexibility to monitor complex exceptions using custom logic for each monitor point.
